from the time of birth, we are trying to find our way in the world. to be able to understand each
other and communicate properly with one another is our ultimate goal as human beings. design is
about interpreting what a person wants to communicate and refining that interpretation, through
research, development and ubiquitous intuition. a designer is "like water", constantly flowing
towards the truth, a.personal.journey.
i was born in the sub arctic climate of northern Alberta Canada. on average, january is one of the
coldest months of the year. my birth date was no exception, the day my mum brought me home it was
around minus forty degrees celsius. people talk about Canadians as having a sense of humour because of
the cold we deal with for a lot of the year. while I wasn't born a famous Canadian Comedian, i was
certainly born with the gift of imagination and artistic ability,

problem: designers are always faced with a problem, our job is to
reveal solutions to that problem. the problem in the gallery to
the left? how to create
the representation of a zebra from the letterform zed in only 5 steps, including the
original letterform?
solution: often the case with logotype, a good start would be
choosing the right typography. i chose a cursive typography as my starting point, with it's
natural attributes i was able to transform the zed using only 5 steps to create the representation
of a zebra.
